Please read the following before using your Mittsu Doru products.
Use with care
Always take care when burning any candle. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from flammable items, children and pets. To the extent permitted by law, Mittsu Doru is not liable for any damage or injury to you or your home arising from the use of our products.
Smoke and soot
All candles, especially highly scented ones, produce some smoke and soot. Burning your candle properly, by keeping the wick trimmed and avoiding drafts, helps to minimise this. See our Candle Care guide.
Fragrance sensitivity
Our candles contain fragrances and essential oils. If you experience any irritation or discomfort, stop using the product immediately.
Natural ingredients
Our candles are made with coconut wax, soy wax and beeswax. Because these are natural ingredients, slight variations in colour, scent and appearance may occur. These variations do not affect the quality or performance of the candle.
Handcrafted vessels
Every vessel is crafted by hand, so the diameter of each holder may vary slightly. Because of this, some candles may take longer for the wax to reach the edges during burning. This is a normal characteristic of handmade pieces, and part of what makes each one unique.
Every candle is poured with the same amount of wax. Small differences in each handcrafted holder may make some candles appear slightly bigger or smaller than others.
Reusing your vessel
Once purchased, we assume no liability for candle containers or for any results of their reuse.
Tropical climate
In Singapore's humidity, our candles may sometimes "sweat" and form small moisture beads on the surface. This does not affect their quality. Simply wipe the moisture away with a paper towel or tissue before lighting. To prevent this, store your candles in a cool, dry place away from drafts.
Reed diffusers
Our reed diffusers are for ambient use only. Keep them away from heat, flame and direct sunlight. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, and do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Place your diffuser on a stable, protected surface, as the oil may mark wood, paint or other finishes. Use in a well-ventilated area, and store unused diffusers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
